  • Well I guess that this is turning into a blog where I just brag about my weekend, but that just seem like that when stuff happens.  We had a three day weekend this last week because of girls state basketball, even though they didn't go.  Great season girls!! Thursday Night was filled with work, Tim's, and breakfast at I29.  After sleeping for 12 hours and getting up at 4 pm, Isaac and I saw Over Troubled Waters and Falling From Gravity preform on Friday at Mike's Pizza in East Grand.  I know of Over Troubled Waters because I go to school with them, and I was impressed that they played all of their own songs and songed pretty good.  Falling From Gravity played extremely well, playing both cover songs and their own.  I would recommend seeing both, and Falling is playing at the Blue Moose this Saturday.  Saturday I was at Central High School for Speech and saw the "Excorcist: The Beginning" that night with some friends.  Sunday was just work and Today was school and a 4 mile run in the cold (so much for a light practice on the first day)...cya Kyle

  • Well its been a couple weeks since I have written.  Things have been going pretty good and no major complaints.  Well the weekend was nothing to special, I just spent my time hanging out with friends.  I do have to say that the highlight of the weekend was on Saturday, when I went rock climbing with my dad at the South Forks Plaza.  Learning how to repel on at 30 foot tower is exciting and scary...

Monday was a "memorable" day to say the least (If you know a better word lets hear it), Track start and my dad left for the cities because he was activated by the Army.  I guess the good thing is that he is in the cities for the next year instead of somewhere else.  Besides that my first and last year of high school track is great.  Seeing how fun its has been in the last three days makes me wish that I started several years before.

Today was great, school and work blended together to form an expierence that I wouldn't change for anything else.  I realized how easy school is when there are people that I know that are dropping out.  If you apply yourself you make it through without any hassle.  If you need assistance all you need to do is ask for help, but what gets me is why a person who had everything going for her drop out?  Work was easy...especially when I have been doing the same thing for 6 years...farm work.  Today I was working for my former biology teacher; throwing bales and cleaning the barn.  I wasn't alone because Drees, Josh, and Sannes.  Sannes is 63 years old and has 40 some horses...if that isn't a pain in the ass I don't know what is.  One thing that I learned from his example was that "Hard Work keeps you Alive."  I learned a few things too...I'm interested in persuing a degree in husbandry (just an idea)...a few redneck sayings and reminded of some too...

Hotter than a two horned owl...Hotter than a two peckered rooster...Queerer than and three dollar bill...A Wyoming Man tells three lies: he won the belt buckle, he owns his truck, and he was only helping the sheep over the fence

The ones I was reminded of...The bigger the belt buckle the smaller the junk...If you find a horse woman and she lays ya right, you will be doing this for 30 years...

Just a few random thoughts I hoped you enjoyed...cya Kyle

  • Well it's about time that I wrote since a lot has happened in the last week...Well I'm done wrestling now since I blew it at EDC in Jamestown on Saturday.  I went to State Close Up from Sunday to Tuesday, and that was a blast.  Sure you learn about the government, but you get to meet some cool people, but also some freaks...it just goes with the territory.  The highlight of the trip was definitely Monday Night (Valentine's Day), there was some what of a dance, and learned the pledge of allegiance in sign language...and listening really goes a long way for people...even when you don't say anything at all.  We got back on Tuesday Afternoon and the rest of the day and into this morning was spent on the 3 days of homework that I missed.

I realize now that everything in high school is over.  Football was done last fall, but now that wrestling is done there really anything to look forward too.  Yah there is Speech, but what am I going to do now?  I can't just sit back...I guess there is Track, but I have never done it before...and I'm a fucking senior.  There was talk about National Close Up in April, but I'm not going to fork over $1500...its not cleaning me out...its just a lot of money.  Well I have sort have fallen out with my friends because I haven't had time to hang out, so maybe I can get back to that.  Or for no aparent reason I could get into yoga classes...if that does have flamer written all over it I don't know what does...Well if I get into National Honor Society there will be something to do there...Anyway enough of my bitching...cya Kyle

    Happy Late Valentine's Day

  • Well I have to say that this last week has had its ups and downs, but climaxed this weekend.  On Friday we wrestled in East Grand Forks where I went 2-1 and ended up hanging out with Brandon that night.  Saturday was what made the entire week worth while.  For the first time in months I was able to sleep in on a weekend, and I didn't get up until 1pm.  On Saturday night the Red River Roughriders wrestled against the Central Knights and beat them 39-30.  This was the first time RR beat Central in wrestling in four years, but unfortunately I lost my match 4-0.  The evening didn't end there, that same night Thompson held their Snoball.  3 hours of dancing was capped off by with a visit to the 2-29 Cafe and a breakfast with corn beef hash...It was GREAT!!!...Thanks Kayla for coming to eat with me...Sunday of course was like any other Sunday, except IT'S SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!!  I went to Church and then unfortunately had to work during the Game with the 5 to 10 shift.  That was a slow slow slow work day...To end the day on a bad note the Eagles lost to the Patriots, but the good note for the day was I got to have fried chicken for supper...IT'S GREAT!!!  Well there is now 2 weeks of wrestling left...What's next...any suggestion??...cya Kyle

  • Things are going as well as can be expected.  This up coming week is pretty packed with things to do.  Tomorrow on Thursday we are wrestling in West Fargo, Friday against Devil's Lake at Red River, and on Saturday at Larimore at the Larimore Tournament.  I'm working Sunday from 9 to 6...oh joy.  Well if anyone wants to hang out over the weekend just leave a post and I'll get back to you...I'm free Friday and Saturday Night....

  • Oh man was this weekend awesome...Let us remember Martin Luther King Jr. for all the things he did for our country.  Civil Rights, Equality, Affirmative Action, and a day off...Thanks Mr. King....

I have to say it was nice to have a three day weekend.  Saturday was pretty standard with the Wrestling Tournament in Devils Lake, but sucked because the bus heater was broken.  Driving for 2 hours in minus 30 on a bus with no heat is a grand time, but no one died.  Sunday was spent with the usually morning Mass at 9am and then work at noon until six.  That night, all 15 of the gamers engaged in a night of bloodshed and beat down.  Halo 2 is a game that causes persons of many social groups to come together for a time of slaughter, valor, anger, and laughter. Good Times Good Times!!!  But I learned a lesson that night if you throw a girl into a snow bank everyome will gang up on you and pound you into the snow!!!  But like all good things it ended and I had to go home.  But on Monday (Martin Luther King Day) after practice I went sledding!!!  Not T-Town sledding but actual sledding at Turtle River State Park.  We were one of the two groups there and man was that a blast.  The highlight was T-Town Sledding through Turtle River...

I will add some pics later on tonight.....cya Kyle

  • I LOVE THE PILGRIMS!!! Look at what they gave us...Long weekends and TURKEY!!!!  Well I don't know about you, but this 4 day weekend was a blast....

On Wednesday my cousin came up, oh what unholy terror was released upon North Dakota.  No jk really he is pretty cool for a freshmen.

Thursday I went to my grandma's and had a fiesta fit for a king.  I really think that my grandma could be a cook at a five star hotel or something.

Friday The highlight of the weekend so far definitally was sledding Thompson style.  We have been doing this little crazy past time for the last three years now.  Luckily no one has died or broken anything yet.  Since I don't have a snowmobile or 4 wheeler I was looking for the fast thrill in the winter, when this idea popped into my head.  Take a tow rope, get a sled, hook it to the back of a car (4 wheel drive recommended), and your off.  The current records are 35 mph on a single sled, 5 mph on a snow board, and 25 mph doing doubles (battle sledding EXTREMELY NOT RECOMMENDED).  This was the first time we went sledding this winter, because it had just snowed the first snow of the season and powder is the best for it.  We also had our first girls come sledding with us also...congrats Kristina and Laura.

Saturday I bid my cousin good bye, went to the UND football game, and then work....

What does the rest of the weekend hold who knows...Write later...

PS if you are ever thinking about trying Thompson sledding be safe and try to at least use a little common sense when preforming stunts of this nature.  If you do have any questions or comments about the act post them or email me...

  • Well this weekend was a blast because my dad and I went deer hunting.  He literally shot Bambi and I get another chance to get my deer over Christmas break.  Besides spending time with the old man, I partied it up with my friends on Friday and hung out in Grafton on Saturday.  We have our first varsity dual tomorrow against Wapheton, and hopefully it all goes well.  There is a four day weekend thanks to the Pilgrims and I plan to make the most of it.  Well write later...cya Kyle

  • Well I have been a member for 94 days and I figure it's about time I posted my first entry.  Well I'm a senior at one of North Dakota's great high schools and currently in wrestling.  Life is going really well, except for the fact that one friends was in a car accident last night.  He is doing really well and just had a few cuts from glass and a sore back and neck from whiplash.  It's really wierd since his Mustang was ripped into two pieces when the other driver ran the stop sign. Well I'll post photos of the car accident as they become available...cya Kyle
