Well I'm recovering from the rhinoplasty surgery that I got to correct my deviated septum that restricted the air flow through my left nostril. Or in lay mans terms I got my nose straighted so I can breath. It's great right now...I'm sporting raccoon eyes and looks like I was pummeled with a blunt object. Well Take Care I'm finishing my laundry and going to bed...Cya Kyle...

The Tenatative Plan...
It's been a while again...This time I have what I have wanted for a long time, an idea of what's going on in my life. No more doubt, no more speculation, the hard times are set. So as it goes right now...
October 17th to November 2nd Leave in ND
Mid November to Early December School
Early January Last Deployment to Afghan
On a more cheerful note I was reminded of a saying ingrained into me for the last 3 years "Overcome and Adapt." This weekend that saying was put into clear perspective. What do you do when you run out of chips and still have 2 pounds of cheese for nachos? Buy more chips? Hell no...substitute. So in our blurred thinking we stumbled onto the best option...Frosted Flakes. So with a bag of frosted flakes and a mountain of cheese we created Cheesy Flakes. It's surprisingly delicious...I think there might be a future in this...Well Take Care and Leave me some Love...Cya Kyle...

I'm struck with insomnia and just watched Definitely Maybe actually a pretty good movie. Some time I will write I pretty decent piece...But the few sentences is all I have really wanted to say, not all just known. Well I'm home in 18 days...Cya Kyle...

Humidity, Swamps, and Giant-Mutant-Insects...Home Sweet Louisiana...
Where do I start how about last weekend. To sum it up it was interesting and definitely memorable. Last night was stressful after packing up my room into a wall locker, finish packing, I got drug into problems of one individual, and I don't understand how he can't see the signs, be so blind, and be so retarded. He had problems before but him getting married was the chocolate frosting. So a late night dealing with that set the stage for this day and prepping to leave for Louisiana. Well going to Louisiana for a few weeks and hopefully meet some awesome gators, snakes, and not die from the heat and humidity...In a nut shell...Well leave me some love...Cya Kyle...

Long Weekends...
Well things are as best to be expected, long weekends all this month. The iron man training is coming along pretty well last weekend was a smoker and I took it pretty easy this weekend after Saturday's run. With a buddy who hasn't ran real distance in about 6 months (with his running pains the first 2 miles), we did 9.2 miles in 1 hour 19 min and 30 seconds with an average of 8:38 a mile. The weekend prior Julio (not the hurting guy) and I ran 6.2 with a average of 8:06. I'm still sore from Saturday and really havn't done much of anything since. The swimming is pretty good I'm averaging about 3 miles a week, I can't remember any of my 500m or 800m times. Biking well I don't have a bike so...yah that's going to be my hard event. I got 10 miles on Saturday...ouch....
Well outside of the training things have been pretty chill and I'm procrastinating on cleaning and prepping for tomorrow. Well before I go let me leave you with some eye candy from my cousin's wedding...Well Take Care...Cya Kyle...Leave me some love...
Poppin my collar....
Where there's a wedding there's a shotgun...

I AM IRON MAN!!!
Well I got conned into running 2 triathlons in July and I know I'm gonna be crying because of it. But I'm "Going for Broke," but I can't be out done by 2 medics...How could my pride not call foul or I call myself an infantrymen to let that happen. Here I go again Charles Lamb said it best....
"Pain is life - the sharper, the more evidence of life."
Leave me some love...Cya Kyle...

A Turning Point...
I have reached another watershed in my life, picking a lesser of two evils, in the form of my obligation to the US Army. Before I was facing stop-loss (The title of MTVs new movie about the involuntary extentions of time and deployments of military personel and how one soldier deals with it) or John Kerry put it best "The Backdoor Draft." I tried every possible honorable way to avoid it from quick turn around to Iraq last September, when we got back from Afghanistan June, to an early discharge to attend college, but the time didn't work out. Well I'm sure the quick turn around to Iraq would have made me crazy, but I got my stabilization time and ready to deploy again this fall. And college is going to have to wait until I'm out. I'm here to pretty much say 2 more years!!! I extended my contract. So know it's volunteer instead of indentured servitude. You really have no idea how much that can throw your life into a spin. Plans for school in the fall and other mind, body, spirit breaking events. Besides all that this next deployment is going to pay for my big boy toys when I'm back (truck, motorcycle, and rock climbing gear) and pay for my studies overseas. With the GI Bill and my plans for college I maybe broke but not in debt. I can't leave my boys to face it all alone and know I got bragging rights to say I fought on both fronts. Well first post in a month plus so leave me some love...I'm free in Febuary 2010...Cya Kyle...
